About the Role
As a Commercial Motor Claims Consultant at Suncorp Group, you will be pivotal in guiding commercial clients through the claims process with empathy and expertise, ensuring a seamless and confident experience. This position goes beyond traditional claims handling by taking full accountability for claims from initiation to closure, while balancing customer advocacy with prudent commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial motor insurance claims, overseeing each case from lodgement to resolution and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with customers, brokers, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate prompt and effective claim outcomes.
- Exercise informed judgment to manage claim costs responsibly, adhering to policies, authority levels, and governance standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and customer service delivery, contributing to continuous organizational enhancement.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, demonstrating empathy and commercial acumen within a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Proven experience in customer service, insurance claims, or outcome-driven settings.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of handling difficult conversations confidently.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate information, solve problems, and make balanced decisions.
- Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive, resilient attitude and a genuine dedication to providing excellent customer outcomes.
Experience specifically in motor or commercial insurance claims is advantageous but not mandatory.
