Role Overview
The Senior Merchandiser role is integral to the sales team with a primary focus on maximizing product visibility across all assigned outlets. This involves strict adherence to planograms and active involvement in promotional activities such as in-store sampling sessions. The merchandiser is also responsible for providing timely market information to optimize sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Visit specific on-trade (OT) outlets as per daily route plans provided by supervisors.
- Merchandize the company's snack and beverage products (SSF line) across multiple display points, including shelves, stands, and floor displays.
- Position and maintain point of sale (POS) materials appropriately alongside product displays.
- Ensure full compliance with approved planograms for all product placements.
- Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method and remove any products that do not meet quality standards.
- Keep product displays clean and replenished with fresh stock at all times.
- Monitor competitor activities in the assigned areas and report findings.
- Report any deviations from agreed terms with assigned customers or outlets promptly to pre-sellers.
- Submit daily activity reports to supervisors detailing the previous day's visits and merchandising outcomes.
- Engage in product sampling and redemption campaigns as required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and behavior consistent with company code of conduct.
Performance Metrics
- Execution compliance with merchandising standards.
- Enforcement of Long-Term Agreements (LTA).
- Adherence to planned journey schedules.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective stakeholder interactions.
