Deputy Director - BISO Information Security - Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence

Role Overview

The Deputy Director Information Security Integration plays an essential role within the Business Information Security Office by leading information security risk management efforts specifically for PepsiCo's Data and Artificial Intelligence initiatives. This position involves working closely with diverse stakeholders across cybersecurity, technical, and business domains to proactively manage security risks while promoting innovative and efficient risk mitigation approaches that support seamless security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the governance and risk oversight for AI and Generative AI adoption, ensuring responsible, compliant, and secure deployment of AI capabilities across PepsiCo.
• Serve as both a Security Coach and consultant to global capability teams, assisting in identifying security issues, aligning stakeholders, designing controls, and supervising remediation efforts.
• Recognize and evaluate security gaps within global teams and create strategic action plans to address those vulnerabilities.
• Provide constructive feedback during project planning to enforce defense-in-depth security principles.
• Act as a trusted information security advisor engaging with key partners on strategy, services, and security processes.
• Develop and deliver customized presentations on security programs, incident management, threats, and risk to stakeholders.
• Address resistance and strengthen integration between Business, IT, OT, and Cybersecurity teams.
• Coordinate and support post-incident recovery activities through collaboration with relevant teams.
• Maintain and enhance expertise in PepsiCo’s business, technology environment, security best practices, and emerging cyber threats.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or higher degree, preferably in Information Security or related IT disciplines.
• Overall professional experience ranging from 11 to 14 years.
• A minimum of 4 years’ IT industry experience, preferably in Consumer and Packaged Goods with expertise in AI, data science, and data analytics.
• At least 3 years of experience in Information Security, preferably serving as a BISO, security architect, or engineer.
• Preferable certifications include CISM, CISSP, CRISC, or GIAC/GSEC.
• In-depth understanding of frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, AI Risk Management Framework, CIS Top 20 Critical Controls, OWASP Top 20, and LLM Top 10.
• Familiar with Project Management and Agile methodology principles.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
