Role Overview

The Senior Manager of Software Engineering is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing multiple development teams, aligning software initiatives with company objectives, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage several software engineering teams by establishing clear goals and priorities consistent with departmental and organizational aims.
• Formulate and implement departmental strategies encompassing resource management, budgeting, and adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to ensure software projects support the overarching company strategy.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence and ongoing innovation across software engineering teams.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to software managers and leaders, supporting their professional development.
• Supervise intricate software projects, tracking progress and resolving obstacles for successful deliveries.
• Keep abreast of emerging industry trends and technologies to champion continuous departmental improvement.
• Participate in talent acquisition and onboarding, setting performance benchmarks to attract and retain high-caliber professionals.
• Develop risk management approaches and ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of professional training and experience.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in software development.
• Demonstrated successful leadership and management of software teams.
• Strong competencies in strategic planning and project management.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
