Job Summary
The Senior Manager – Safety will assist the Safety team in executing the departmental safety program, conducting inspections, and organizing safety training. The role involves managing safety systems to ensure all procedures and standards comply with regulations to protect the Group’s international assets, properties, and employees.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and best practices for safety management.
- Promote cost efficiency and productivity to minimize expenses and optimize benefits.
- Ensure all QNB Group locations are maintained to high safety standards.
- Provide safety services to various QNB departments as needed.
- Coordinate relationships with external safety service providers.
- Continuously review and improve safety procedures to meet or exceed standards.
- Identify emerging safety-related issues and develop effective solutions.
- Manage routine, scheduled, and emergency safety checks for all equipment and mechanical/electrical systems critical to QNB operations.
- Prepare daily task schedules and annual safety programs for all mechanical and electrical assets.
- Coordinate procurement of safety equipment in liaison with the Purchasing Department, including obtaining quotes and approvals.
- Monitor maintenance costs and records for security equipment at branches.
- Review all relevant invoices and ensure compliance with QNB policies.
- Supervise maintenance activities, including those conducted by third parties.
- Enforce adherence to safety policies and procedures across all international premises.
- Assist and provide guidance on safety systems and contracts for international branches and subsidiaries.
- Conduct safety equipment functionality checks, including fire alarms and firefighting systems.
- Participate in investigating incidents and report findings to senior management.
- Support fire drills and safety awareness programs to ensure staff readiness and compliance.
- Train safety personnel at international locations on use of preventive safety equipment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant safety and security certifications.
- Minimum 8 years of applicable experience, preferably within a top-tier international bank.
