Senior Manager, Partner Solutions Architect

Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Field Engineering (Specialist) will lead and develop a team of Partner Solution Architects. This role focuses on advancing the consulting and system integrator partner development function by providing expert technical guidance to pre-sales teams and data analytics delivery organizations within consulting partners. The goal is to accelerate customer success and increase Databricks DBU consumption through a global partner ecosystem by enhancing the effectiveness of the team and clearly communicating complex outcome-based solutions that drive consumption and help customers reach their objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Expand and manage a team of Partner Solutions Architects amid rapid company growth.
• Achieve organizational objectives by ensuring partners can develop a comprehensive technical perspective to implement the lakehouse architecture across a broad customer base, recognize compelling business opportunities, and encourage adoption of the Databricks platform within partner solutions, establishing partners as trusted advisors.
• Lead the team to enhance partner practices by collaborating with partner sales, alliances, and Databricks technical functions including Specialists, Professional Services, and Product teams.
• Forge strong business relationships to support partner and customer success.
• Cultivate a collaborative culture in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that reflects Databricks' core values.
• Drive customer success and boost Databricks DBU consumption via consulting partners.
• Have a deep understanding of the consulting services business focusing on revenue generation, project portfolio management, and escalation handling in enterprise data transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and managing field or technical teams in high-growth settings.
• Minimum of 8 years in senior pre-sales or post-sales roles, contributing to the growth of professionals in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS domains.
• Ability to function effectively as both a player and coach, leading and contributing directly to partner and customer projects.
• Strong knowledge of data-driven decision making, artificial intelligence, and cloud software models.
• Skilled at creating processes for technical team members to enhance operational efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required; Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Technical expertise in Data Engineering, Database technologies, or Data Science.
