Role Summary
As Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs based in Singapore, you will play a significant role in scaling Coda’s business and enhancing its global presence by driving corporate positioning, media engagement, B2B and B2C communications, investor relations, thought leadership, executive profiling, and reputation management.
Reporting directly to the VP of Corporate Affairs, you will provide strategic communications advice to senior leadership, helping to articulate business priorities and develop compelling narratives tailored for key audiences. Close collaboration with teams across Commercial, Government Relations, Marketing, People & Talent, and the CEO’s Office is essential to align internal and external messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and evolve Coda’s corporate narrative as the company expands across different markets, products, and target audiences.
- Craft consistent positioning for corporate, B2B, B2C, and investor groups, rooted in Coda’s strategy and commercial priorities.
- Partner with leadership and various teams to link business initiatives with wider industry and media conversations.
- Lead proactive media relations focusing on financial, business, and technology media, primarily across Singapore and Asia, maintaining strong journalist networks internationally.
- Identify and pitch credible stories to secure meaningful coverage and maintain a healthy story pipeline covering corporate developments, partnerships, milestones, and industry trends.
- Manage critical media strategies around major announcements, including narrative formation, pitching, interview preparation, and follow-up.
- Advise on media engagement during complex or sensitive issues, ensuring sound counsel on timing and approach.
- Develop tailored communications for different external audiences to reinforce a consistent overall brand story.
- Support executive profiling and secure opportunities for leaders to participate in media, conferences, social platforms, and industry events.
- Lead thought leadership efforts by translating expertise and market insights into white papers, opinion articles, commentary, and presentations.
- Drive AI-powered content creation and workflow improvements within Corporate Affairs, implementing AI tools to optimize research, drafting, and distribution, while ensuring quality and oversight standards.
- Collaborate on internal communications and talent branding initiatives to clearly communicate company developments, leadership changes, and cultural values to employees.
- Manage corporate communications for significant company events, ensuring integrated, audience-focused strategies aligned across teams.
- Support reputation and issues management through effective messaging, reactive communications, and executive preparation under tight timelines.
Candidate Profile
- Established relationships with financial, business, and technology media, especially within Singapore and Asia; international contacts valued.
- Proven success in securing high-impact earned media with excellent editorial judgment and storytelling skills.
- Exceptional writing and editing ability, capable of making complex topics concise and engaging.
- Experience developing corporate and business positioning for diverse audiences including B2B, B2C, investors, and corporate stakeholders.
- Strong background in executive profiling and thought leadership initiatives.
- Ability to communicate business strategy, results, and growth stories effectively to sophisticated corporate and financial audiences.
- Keen commercial awareness and a genuine interest in business growth dynamics.
- Understanding of the intersections between business, regulation, policy, and reputation management.
- Good judgment in handling sensitive and reputational corporate matters.
- Comfortable partnering directly with senior executives to provide practical communication counsel.
