Senior Manager - Cybersecurity Threat & Vulnerability Management

About the Role

Join PwC Ireland as a Senior Manager in Cybersecurity Threat & Vulnerability Management, leading efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate security threats in diverse client environments. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security evaluations including red team operations, web application penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and secure configuration reviews to uncover risks and suggest remediation strategies.
• Advise clients on compliance with standards and regulations like NIS2, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
• Contribute to the expansion of the Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) team and enhance service offerings.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of advanced red team infrastructure.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and methods relevant to cybersecurity threats.
• Monitor evolving threats and compliance requirements applicable to penetration testing activities.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive expertise in offensive security with proven leadership skills managing diverse technical teams, including mentoring and development.
• Skilled in developing payloads and evading modern Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems.
• Substantial experience designing and deploying red team infrastructures.
• Proficient in executing regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and configuration assessments across networks, databases, and operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Experienced in conducting red team assessments using tools like Cobalt Strike, NightHawk, and Mythic.
• Expertise in penetration testing for web and mobile applications.
• Familiar with security assessment tools such as Burp Suite, Tenable Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, and applying related methodologies.
• Deep understanding of attacker techniques with experience in threat mitigation strategies.
• Intermediate knowledge of cloud penetration testing and secure cloud configuration reviews.
• Experience with developing ransomware simulation scripts is an advantage.
• Background in designing and implementing security architecture is beneficial.
• Possession of one or more technical security certifications (e.g., Offensive Security certifications like OSCP, CRTO, OSEP, OSED, OSWE, OSCE, CRTO II, CRTP, CRTE) is a plus.
• Minimum seven years of dedicated full-time experience in threat and vulnerability management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related disciplines; equivalent professional experience is also considered.

Additional Information

• Travel up to 20% is expected.
