Senior Manager - Cyber Security - Technology Consulting

About the Role

Join EY’s prestigious Cyber Security practice as a Senior Manager where you will spearhead the design, transformation, and execution of comprehensive cyber security services for leading organizations. This role involves guiding clients in evaluating the maturity of their vulnerability management frameworks, delivering strategic insights, and architecting scalable, risk-focused programs to enhance security posture. You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and provide leadership on complex consulting assignments. The preferred work location includes Melbourne or Sydney, though applications from other parts of Australia are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, rollout, and continuous refinement of enterprise-wide vulnerability management initiatives.
• Conduct thorough assessments of current cyber security capabilities and advise on improvements in maturity, governance structures, and operational efficiency.
• Engineer and manage sophisticated vulnerability management programs aimed at mitigating organizational risks.
• Design and enhance operating models, processes, and service frameworks related to vulnerability management.
• Provide leadership and oversight on client projects to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
• Act as a high-level consultant to senior client stakeholders, building trusted relationships.
• Mentor and cultivate the growth of team members, providing guidance and support within the practice.
• Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and contributing to practice expansion activities.
• Identify and implement opportunities to utilize automation and new technologies to improve cyber security offerings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in designing and operating intricate vulnerability management schemes demonstrated to lower organizational risks.
• Strong expertise in consulting and advisory roles, particularly in current state assessments and maturity enhancement recommendations.
• Proficiency with vulnerability scanning platforms such as Qualys, Nessus, ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (SNOW VR), or Nucleus.
• Proven capability in leading client engagements with technical oversight across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in coaching and developing cyber security professionals.
• Ability to lead strategic design, deployment, and direction of client projects while managing delivery teams.
• Eligibility to obtain or maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.

Preferred but not Mandatory

• Background in cyber security consulting, managed security services, or MSP/MSSP environments.
• Experience operating within large-scale enterprise settings.
• Relevant cyber security certifications.
