Senior Associate - Audit

This hybrid position is based in either Auckland or Wellington, with flexible working arrangements including reduced hours under discussion.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate audit engagements with careful risk assessment to ensure adherence to organizational policies and audit protocols.
• Carry out audit procedures with a comprehensive understanding of clients' operating environments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid knowledge of auditing techniques, methodologies, and documentation standards.
• Proven experience managing external audit and assurance projects.
• Competence in leading all phases of audit cycles including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Possession or progression towards a recognized accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or comparable credentials.
• Familiarity with accounting standards like IFRS and associated financial reporting requirements is desirable.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities alongside a collaborative spirit.
• Demonstrated project management skills, particularly time management and effective communication.
• Capability to foster and maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns and providing insightful recommendations.
