About the Role

We are offering a Senior Manager position in our Assurance team at the Wellington (Pōneke) office. In this full-time role (37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday), you will lead complex external audit engagements, develop client relationships, and mentor junior staff within a supportive, values-driven environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead statutory audit engagements from planning to final review, ensuring delivery, quality, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Enhance public trust by conducting thorough audits that promote the financial transparency and integrity of clients.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders by understanding their business needs and delivering practical insights.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
• Utilize advanced technology and PwC audit methodologies to deliver top-quality external audit work, setting industry benchmarks for quality and innovation.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 7 years of external audit experience within a professional services environment.
• Strong technical proficiency in auditing standards, financial reporting requirements, and audit methodologies.
• Good commercial judgment and confidence managing complex engagements and building key client relationships.
• Preferably experience in financial services, especially banking or asset management, though not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and teams, translating complex matters into clear insights.
• Proven leadership abilities to coach and develop teams, promoting inclusivity, quality, and collaboration.
• Strong project management skills to balance priorities, deadlines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
