About the Role

Joining the AI & Data team means collaborating across assurance, tax, transactions, and consulting services to use analytics to transform and improve client businesses. We seek to embed innovative data governance frameworks, roadmap strategies, and policies to support effective data management at an enterprise level across industries in Ireland, with offices in Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Limerick, and Galway.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse industries to deliver analytics-driven business improvements.
- Establish and implement comprehensive enterprise data governance frameworks encompassing policies, standards, and processes aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic data management and governance roadmaps that build organisation-wide data capabilities.
- Support clients in creating and enforcing robust data management policies and facilitate adherence.
- Identify new business opportunities leveraging data assets to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead teams managing data governance projects using advanced tools to cleanse, store, and manipulate data.
- Design and maintain data quality frameworks targeting improvements across key data domains and processes.
- Work alongside leadership to uncover and act on potential business prospects for EY.
- Build and nurture strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Devise and enforce secure and efficient data handling and analytic procedures addressing technical requirements.
- Establish clear data sharing protocols with senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Guide clients on adopting best practices to stay compliant with evolving data regulations and technological advancements.
- Create innovative commercial insights tailored to client operational and cultural contexts, contributing to thought leadership in data governance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree.
- Minimum of 7 years’ professional experience in data governance and data management.
- Proficient understanding of data governance technologies such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and handling project scopes, budgets, deliverables, and timelines efficiently.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical information in understandable terms.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, diverse client environments with high professionalism.
- Passionate about contributing proactively to team growth and advancing data analytics practices.
- Relevant certifications in Data Governance or Data Management (e.g., DAMA, EDMC) are highly preferred.
