Senior Lead Synthesis Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a seasoned professional for its Engineering Group, specifically within Hardware Engineering.

Role Summary and Education Requirements

The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline with over three years of relevant hardware engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with a minimum of two years of experience or a PhD with at least one year of related work qualifies the applicant.

Key Responsibilities and Expertise

• Demonstrate deep expertise and thorough understanding of Physical Synthesis and synthesis methodologies using leading industry-standard tools.
• Develop and implement timing constraints for synthesis, Static Timing Analysis (STA), timing closure, and pipelining across various design levels to optimize performance and complete timing closure.
• Manage timing closure challenges in designs involving multiple clock domains.
• Apply knowledge of Multi-Clock Multi-Mode (MCMM) synthesis and optimization strategies.
• Utilize low-power design techniques, particularly implementation with Unified Power Format (UPF).
• Proficiently script using languages such as Perl, Python, and TCL to automate or facilitate design processes.
• Implement diverse power optimization flows, including clock gating methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with design, Design-for-Test (DFT), and Physical Design (PD) teams to ensure on-time netlist delivery and validate timing constraints.
• Capably manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), conduct formal verification, and maintain high standards of quality documentation and metrics.
