Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Java Developer with extensive experience in designing and implementing complex distributed systems leveraging microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of application architecture, infrastructure, and security, along with non-functional aspects such as performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement large-scale distributed systems using microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to gather and satisfy technical requirements.
• Establish and enforce best practices and standards for microservice development.
• Lead initiatives to create accelerators and tooling that enhance the quality of deliverables.
• Evaluate emerging industry technologies to influence service design, considering cost-effectiveness, portability, compatibility, and usability.
• Adapt technologies and integrated platforms to meet both customer and operational needs efficiently.
• Continuously optimize technology utilization and system management.
• Identify design risks, present alternatives, and recommend high-quality solutions to challenges.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of relevant technical experience in architecture, backend integration, and software development.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE application development, particularly using the Spring Boot framework.
• In-depth knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices design and development, RESTful and SOAP services.
• Solid grasp of core Java principles, Java 8+, Spring ecosystem, including testing frameworks like JUnit and Cucumber.
• Strong expertise in design patterns and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with Java microservices development, RESTful APIs, and SOAP services.
• Skilled in designing and coding scalable microservices solutions.
• Experience with middleware and messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, Kafka, and event-driven design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to API management techniques.
• Experience in crafting deployment pipelines for Java microservices on Kubernetes.
• Ability to create and define Swagger specifications for REST APIs and a solid understanding of REST design principles.
• Working knowledge of OAuth token-based authentication protocols.
• Familiarity with PCI compliance and security coding standards.
• Experience with MSSQL database, including data modeling, query creation, and optimization.
