Senior Java Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer based in Singapore with over 10 years of relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate will have strong practical coding abilities in Java and be adept in maintaining and enhancing complex backend systems with clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Java and related technologies.
• Utilize Maven for project management and build automation.
• Implement application features with Spring Boot.
• Write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality.
• Work extensively with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Utilize version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker.
• Operate in Linux environments and perform shell scripting tasks.
• Use Python for supporting scripts and automation where necessary.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with ArgoCD for continuous delivery.
• Monitoring and logging tools like Grafana and Loki.
• Workflow automation with Airflow.
• Experience with AWS services such as Aurora, EKS, and S3.
• Knowledge or experience in AI engineering, specifically Claude Code.
