Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to architect, build, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions that focus on data resilience, ransomware protection, and data security. This position demands strong backend development skills, problem-solving abilities, and agility to thrive in a dynamic startup environment with rapid release cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain scalable, high-performance Java enterprise applications.
- Build and improve backend services, design APIs, and implement microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams, including remote colleagues.
- Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with industry best practices.
- Engage in architectural discussions and help make informed technical design choices.
- Diagnose, debug, and enhance application performance and stability.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and highly available.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and processes.
- Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum six years in Java backend development within enterprise contexts.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot framework, and microservices architecture.
- Proficient in using Apache Kafka for scalable, real-time data pipeline and event-driven microservices design.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases with data modeling skills.
- Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
- Familiarity with software design patterns and system architecture principles.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience operating in Agile software development methodologies.
- Outstanding problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with distributed and remote teams.
Work Environment and Expectations
- This position is based in Bangalore at the HSR Layout office.
- Availability to work on alternate Saturdays as needed.
- Flexible and adaptive to fluctuating workloads and hours typical of a startup culture.
- Demonstrates speed, adaptability, and ownership in daily tasks.
