Role Overview
The Senior IT Architect is responsible for designing and validating IT infrastructure solutions within transport mobility platforms. This senior role emphasizes server/storage architecture, network design, virtualization, system monitoring, PCI compliance, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborating autonomously with both technical and business teams, the architect offers expert guidance and supports infrastructure design efforts from bid through ongoing operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive design and evaluation of infrastructure systems encompassing computing, data storage, networks, and data protection for critical applications.
- Establish system requirements, architectural frameworks, and integration strategies tuned to operational and business demands.
- Drive system-level architectural configurations and functional component partitioning.
- Enhance cloud and infrastructure environments focusing on cost efficiency, availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Spearhead solution implementation working with engineering, DevOps, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring deployment quality with thorough change and release management compliance.
- Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder collaboration to align project outcomes and build trusted client relationships.
- Assist bids and tender procedures by contributing detailed infrastructure designs and precise cost approximations.
- Adhere to company quality, safety, security, and human resources policies while performing duties.
Required Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, particularly within cloud and high-performance environments.
- In-depth knowledge of server, storage, network architecture, and application infrastructure.
- Advanced practical skills in Azure and AWS cloud platforms, automation, and native cloud services.
- Expertise in designing infrastructure solutions including cost-estimation and operational maintenance.
- Strong understanding of high-availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, and advanced network topologies (load balancers, firewalls, virtual networking).
- Experience with call center technologies such as ACD/PBX, CTI, and IVR systems.
- Proficiency in system performance tuning and optimization, along with monitoring and alert configuration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
