Role Overview

The Senior IT Architect acts as a key authority on designing and implementing IT infrastructure systems. This role emphasizes reviewing infrastructure designs with operational considerations in transport mobility systems and involves responsibilities over server/storage architecture, networking, virtualization, monitoring, PCI compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and review of comprehensive infrastructure solutions covering compute, storage, networking, and data protection for mission-critical applications.
• Establish system requirements, define architecture, and determine integration methods aligned with operational goals.
• Provide system-level design leadership, including defining functional components and overall architecture.
• Drive continuous improvement in cloud and infrastructure environments, focusing on scalability, resilience, cost optimization, and financial oversight.
• Supervise backup, restore, and disaster recovery implementations to ensure platform reliability.
• Oversee the deployment of new solutions in cooperation with Engineering, DevOps, and other units, ensuring proper planning, documentation, and rollback capabilities.
• Engage with change management processes to uphold compliance and facilitate smooth system updates.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and support teams fostering collaboration.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and working closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to bids, tenders, and variation proposals through detailed infrastructure design and cost estimation.
• Support ongoing infrastructure and operational enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
• Adhere to corporate quality management, health and safety, security, and human resource policies.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, IT, or similar field.
• 8 to 10 years of experience with IT infrastructure, including cloud environments with high performance needs.
• Strong architecture skills spanning servers, storage systems, networks, and application support.
• Expertise in Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including automation and cloud-native technologies.
• Proven track record in developing comprehensive infrastructure designs and associated cost analysis for client solutions.
• Advanced understanding of high availability systems, redundancy plans, and disaster recovery methods.
• Familiarity with complex network topologies including load balancers, firewalls, and virtual networks.
• Knowledge of call center technologies such as ACD/PBX, CTI, and IVR systems.
• Experience tuning system performance and optimizing efficiency.
• Competence in setting up and configuring monitoring and alerting platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong interpersonal capabilities, enabling effective collaboration with all organizational levels.
