About the Role

As a Senior Integration Support Specialist at Salla based in Mecca, you will be vital in facilitating seamless connections and integrations between our Ecommerce SaaS platform and our partners. Your collaboration across teams will be essential in creating and refining integration solutions that drive business efficiency for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and architecting reliable integration frameworks that connect our platform with external systems including ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party applications.
• Developing and maintaining high-standard APIs to enable data sharing and interoperability, ensuring compliance with industry norms.
• Performing comprehensive testing of API integrations to validate functionality, accuracy, and error management.
• Collaborating with clients to comprehend distinct integration needs and tailoring workflows accordingly while ensuring scalability and dependability.
• Providing prompt troubleshooting and technical support regarding integration issues, leveraging expertise in best practices.
• Working closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align integration tasks with product goals and architect scalable solutions.
• Creating and updating thorough documentation on integration methods, APIs, and troubleshooting guides accessible to teams and clients.
• Managing API version control and upgrades with attention to backward compatibility as needed.
• Keeping informed on industry advancements, new technologies, and ecommerce integration best practices to recommend improvements.
• Implementing secure authentication and authorization strategies to safeguard API endpoints and ensure data integrity.
• Enhancing API efficiency through techniques such as caching, load balancing, and robust error handling.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least four years of experience as an Integration Engineer, ideally within Ecommerce or SaaS sectors.
• Advanced skills in API design and architecture principles.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, Webhooks, messaging queues, and related web service technologies.
• Practical experience with authentication frameworks including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
• Expertise in API security involving encryption, tokenization, and identity management methods.
• Experience working with popular Ecommerce platforms and their APIs such as Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce.
• Familiarity with common external APIs like payment processors and shipping services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Strong communication capabilities for effective teamwork and explaining technical matters to non-technical audiences.
• Proven mentoring skills with junior colleagues.
