Job description

About Almedia

At Almedia, located in Berlin, you will find an environment committed to accelerating careers rapidly by embracing responsibility and intensity. Almedia aims to become Germany's second bootstrapped unicorn and is ranked as Europe's #3 fastest-growing company in 2025. The company is pioneering a new marketing approach by rewarding its community of over 80 million users for engaging with advertiser products, offering a novel method of user acquisition for major global companies.

Role Overview

As a Senior Growth Manager, you'll directly own a portfolio of 5 to 15 advertiser accounts with full accountability for revenue growth. Instead of focusing on quota chasing, your success is measured by your ability to drive top-line growth through strategic oversight and execution. You will be the primary point of contact for advertisers and a key liaison with company leadership during performance spikes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of advertiser accounts end-to-end, serving as the go-to person for issue resolution and growth initiatives.
  • Drive revenue growth by interpreting data insights, self-managing tasks, and remaining receptive to data-driven changes.
  • Adjust internal Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) targets frequently—often hourly—across offers, geographies, and operating systems using data tools such as Hex, Amplitude, Looker Studio, and Freecash AI.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems before advertisers become aware, scheduling budget increases, geographic expansions, and format experiments.
  • Act as a bridge between commercial and technical teams by troubleshooting data discrepancies and coordinating engineering responses.
  • Contribute weekly to the continuous improvement of the Growth team's standard operating procedures through clear documentation.

First 90 Days Plan

  • Days 1–30: Observe senior colleagues during account calls and take responsibility for 2 smaller accounts.
  • Days 31–60: Take charge of a full portfolio of 5–10 accounts and participate in KPI reviews while contributing to process improvements.
  • Days 61–90: Become a named senior owner capable of covering colleagues and identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • Beyond 90 Days: Pathways for advancement lead from regional to country and multi-country leadership roles, with corresponding increases in salary and equity.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Ambitious, hungry for challenges, and motivated to own genuine results rather than titles.
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to quickly interpret and explain key performance changes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills able to converse fluently with both advertisers and technical algorithm teams.

Preferred Background

  • Familiarity with platform marketing metrics such as ROAS, Lifetime Value (LTV), retention, and Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), or willingness to learn rapidly.
  • Experience managing advertiser or partner accounts within performance marketing, mobile gaming user acquisition, or rewarded user acquisition, or openness to develop in this area.
  • Practical knowledge of Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) like AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Singular, including handling postbacks and attribution concerns.
  • Proven success in scaling account revenue significantly, for example, growing a €2M annual book to €8M in 18 months.
  • Experience from top-tier consulting firms or senior roles in fast-growing startups is valued.
  • Hands-on use of analytics platforms like Hex or experience with admin tools for rewarded user acquisition platforms.

Key Qualities for Success

  • Ownership mentality: prioritize meaningful tasks, troubleshoot proactively, and execute solutions without seeking permission.
  • Proactivity: actively identify opportunities and challenges, propose tests, and engage with technical teams without waiting for direction.
  • A bias for speed: make informed decisions quickly, monitor outcomes over appropriate time windows, and avoid delays or premature conclusions.
  • Impact focus: concentrate efforts on the highest-leverage accounts and initiatives for maximal results.
  • High standards: continuously refine processes and maintain quality even when shortcuts seem easier.

Benefits

  • Equity ownership for Berlin-based employees to share in Almedia's growth and success.
  • Opportunity to grow with a profitable startup from its inception.
  • Modern, centrally located Berlin office designed for collaboration.
  • Additional perks including transport subsidies, catered breakfasts and lunches, language programs, and access to Urban Sports Club.

Additional Information

Almedia supports diversity and equal opportunity, encouraging applications from candidates of all backgrounds. The company fosters talent development through a transparent hiring process and clear paths for career progression. The work environment is onsite 5 days a week to foster momentum and team energy.
