Job description
About Almedia
Almedia is an ambitious company aiming to become Germany's second bootstrapped unicorn, ranked as Europe's #3 fastest-growing company in 2025. We are innovating marketing by rewarding over 80 million users for engaging with advertisers' products, providing novel user acquisition methods for leading global companies.
Role Overview
As a Growth Manager in Berlin, you will take full ownership early on, managing 5–15 advertiser accounts end-to-end. This role focuses on top-line revenue growth rather than quota chasing, requiring decisive self-driven execution and open-mindedness to data-driven insights. You will work onsite with a dedicated high-performance team five days a week to contribute to the company’s robust momentum.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 5–15 advertiser accounts, being the primary contact for growth and troubleshooting.
- Drive revenue growth by optimizing Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), guided by senior staff.
- Utilize internal tools like Hex (or similar SQL notebooks), Amplitude, Looker Studio, and Freecash AI daily to monitor and adjust campaigns.
- Develop proactive account management skills to identify and address issues before they escalate, including budget pushes, geographic expansions, and format testing.
- Serve as a liaison between commercial and technical teams, coordinating problem resolution and communicating effectively.
- Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of the growth playbook.
First 90 Days Milestones
- Days 1–30: Observe senior managers and take over smaller accounts with budgets below €10K daily.
- Days 31–60: Manage a full portfolio of 5–10 accounts and lead your first KPI review while proposing a process improvement.
- Days 61–90: Increase operational independence, proactively resolving at least one issue and proposing tests or optimizations.
- Post 90 Days: Progression path towards Senior Growth Manager and strategic leadership with corresponding salary and equity growth.
Required Qualifications
- Motivation for challenge and ownership of tangible results over titles.
- Strong data literacy to analyze metrics and derive meaningful insights.
- Bilingual communication skills to interact fluently with both commercial advertisers and technical teams.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Familiarity with performance marketing metrics such as ROAS, LTV, retention, or ARPU (training available).
- Experience managing advertiser or partner accounts in performance marketing, mobile gaming user acquisition, or rewarded user acquisition.
- Exposure or eagerness to learn tools like AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Singular.
- Demonstrated success in growing a measurable business portfolio.
- Background in top-tier consulting (MBB) or scaling startups.
- Hands-on experience with SQL notebook tools like Hex or rewarded UA platform administration.
Core Traits for Success
- Ownership: Prioritize and execute high-impact tasks without requiring permission.
- Proactivity: Identify problems and propose solutions independently.
- Agility: Make decisions quickly with incomplete data and iterate rapidly within stabilization windows.
- Impact-Driven: Focus on driving substantial revenue increases rather than spreading effort thinly.
- High Standards: Rectify issues thoroughly and document improvements for future benefit.
Why Join Almedia?
- Opportunity to grow with a profitable startup from its early stage.
- Collaborative work environment in a modern, centrally located Berlin office.
- Additional benefits including transport subsidies, provided meals, language classes, and fitness memberships.
Diversity and Inclusion
Almedia is committed to equal opportunity employment, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds and providing a clear, inclusive growth path.
