Job Overview
MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Fullstack Engineer for a permanent position based in Vancouver. This role focuses on crafting high-quality backend services and responsive React frontends for web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and sustain robust backend systems leveraging Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS technologies including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Build efficient, maintainable React applications with comprehensive testing aligned to industry standards.
- Lead API design prioritizing scalability, efficiency, and maintainability while utilizing RESTful and GraphQL interfaces.
- Integrate multiple third-party services and external data via well-designed APIs.
- Develop backend infrastructures supporting modern web and mobile platforms.
- Implement best practices in logging, monitoring, and alerting to uphold system reliability.
- Collaborate across front-end development, DevOps, and product teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Maintain modular, clean project structure with utilization of leading-edge tooling and design patterns.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years' experience constructing backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of database design and data modeling, preferably with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Proven expertise in API design and consumption, encompassing RESTful and GraphQL services.
- Experience working with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks, particularly React.
