Role Summary

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will be integral in developing both frontend and backend components of Open Innovation AI’s web platforms. Collaborating with product teams, the engineer will create visually engaging, highly functional user interfaces and build reliable, scalable backend services. Special emphasis will be placed on handling large datasets, data visualization, and backend integration to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications utilizing React, TypeScript, and Vite.js on the frontend and Node.js with TypeScript on the backend.
• Create and optimize data processing pipelines and RESTful APIs that effectively handle and visualize large volumes of data.
• Implement backend solutions supporting streaming interfaces for Large Language Models (LLMs) to enable real-time data visualization and interaction.
• Work alongside UX/UI designers, product owners, and frontend engineers to prototype and enhance user interfaces ensuring smooth backend integration.
• Design scalable and maintainable architectures for both front and backend systems.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams to ensure efficient deployment, scalability, database optimization, and API performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows of full stack applications.
• Establish comprehensive testing regimes including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools like Playwright and Jest.
• Optimize performance metrics including application speed, load times, and backend processing, particularly for large dataset management.
• Continuously research and suggest improvements based on emerging full stack development technologies and workflows.
• Document code, workflows, and architecture decisions clearly and concisely.
• Engage in code reviews providing constructive feedback on both frontend and backend codebases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional full stack engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript including responsive design, accessibility, asynchronous programming, and advanced JS concepts.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Node.js technologies.
• Strong understanding of frontend and backend architectural principles and practices.
• Experience with data visualization libraries such as ECharts or Recharts.
• Knowledge of streaming data methodologies.
• Proficiency in designing and using RESTful APIs.
• Experience using Git version control system.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
