Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, and UX/UI Designers. Your role is to transform business needs into technical solutions by developing efficient, reusable, and high-quality code for web and mobile applications. You will champion best practices in front-end development, optimise application performance, and maintain security standards. Additionally, you will contribute to a shared library of modular components and mentor junior developers to enhance team capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders such as Architects, Product Owners, and UX designers to understand and implement technical solutions from written requirements.
• Create user interfaces for both web and mobile platforms, ensuring reusable and efficient codebases.
• Work alongside team members to define comprehensive architecture and functional designs.
• Own the frontend digital and software platform end-to-end.
• Adhere to Version 1's Agile methodologies and frameworks.
• Promote best practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD), code reviews, and pair programming within the team.
• Provide mentorship and growth opportunities to junior team members.
• Design software components that are both flexible and configurable.
• Deliver secure, maintainable, and performant code aligned with project and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive front-end development experience, particularly with TypeScript and React.
• Any experience with Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js is advantageous.
• Familiarity with mobile development frameworks such as React Native is a plus.
• Experience using GraphQL, ideally with Apollo Client and React, for effective data management.
• Competence in Unit Testing, especially with Jest.
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools including Docker.
• A dedication to continual learning and staying current with new technologies and frameworks.
• Proven Agile development experience.
• Strong communication abilities necessary for interaction with clients and distributed development teams.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Any backend integration experience, including Java or Python, is beneficial.
