Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the selected candidate will act as a vital connector between financial outcomes and the manufacturing operations based in Singapore. The position entails translating intricate financial and operational data into meaningful insights that inform key decisions, enhance cost effectiveness, and increase forecast reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer budgeting processes, quarterly projections, monthly forecasts, variance evaluations, and trend analysis specific to manufacturing activities.
  • Collaborate with Finance Shared Services during month-end closures, encompassing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and regular reporting.
  • Oversee operational expenditures, cost center spending, transfer pricing allocations, and capital expenditure forecasts, identifying patterns and suggesting remedial measures.
  • Serve as the financial partner to manufacturing teams, offering insights into labor hours, absorption rates, utilization, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Conduct detailed analyses on cost drivers, manufacturing discrepancies, facility costs, and operational metrics to facilitate ongoing improvements.
  • Monitor and report on capital investments, including reviewing business cases, performing return on investment analyses, and evaluating post-investment results.
  • Generate precise management reports and utilize tools such as SAP, Power BI, Anaplan to enhance financial modeling, automation, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Assist audit processes, ensure compliance, champion process enhancements, support AI integration, administer system rollouts, and contribute to various global finance initiatives as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an allied field.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with SAP and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, Anaplan, financial modeling, scenario planning, and forecasting tools is advantageous.
  • Experience in driving finance-related transformation, process optimization, automation, or system implementation is desirable but not mandatory.
