Job description
About VulnCheck
VulnCheck is a pioneering Exploit Intelligence Company dedicated to enhancing exploitation prevention through accurate, weaponized exploit data. Our platform integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructures including data lakes, ETL workflows, automation, AI, and large language models, to elevate cybersecurity capabilities worldwide.
Position Overview
We seek a Senior Exploit Developer to join our Initial Access Intelligence team. This role involves reverse engineering and crafting exploits mainly for initial access vulnerabilities, providing our clients visibility into exploitation processes from exposure to detection. You will collaborate with an experienced group of hackers and threat researchers to support global enterprises, governments, and intelligence agencies in proactively mitigating threats. Opportunities exist to engage with diverse exploits and contribute to our open-source go-exploit framework. This is a fully remote position with a preference for candidates based in Cheltenham, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Perform reverse engineering to analyze vulnerabilities and determine root causes.
- Develop original exploit code targeting initial access vulnerabilities lacking public proof-of-concept exploits.
- Create detection signatures (e.g., Suricata, Snort, YARA) to identify exploitation attempts in network traffic.
- Author queries for Attack Surface Management tools like Shodan and FOFA to identify potentially vulnerable systems.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience creating exploit code for remote code execution and initial access vulnerabilities that do not require authentication.
- Ability to effectively deliver technical projects independently and collaboratively in a remote or small team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior cybersecurity experience within vendors or government entities.
- Capability to share example exploit code developed.
Important Notice
This role may involve technology subject to U.S. export control laws. Employment depends on the company securing necessary authorizations, though it is not obligated to do so.
What We Provide
- Competitive salary with stock equity.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Unlimited paid time off.
- Pension contributions.
- Flexible remote work environment.
- Reimbursement for home internet and phone expenses.
- Comprehensive professional development including coaching and learning resources.
- Career growth opportunities within a dynamic, expanding team.
