About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Greenville, SC. This permanent position plays a crucial role in overseeing cost estimation and project management for large-scale design-build construction projects. You will be collaborating with a committed team in a fast-paced environment that values dedication, innovation, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret 2D drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize BlueBeam and similar industry software to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Examine labor, equipment, and related construction expenses to develop precise construction cost forecasts.
- Submit Requests for Quotations (RFQs), monitor bids, and coordinate with project managers to align with project objectives.
- Create written proposals and present them effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and cost estimates to secure favorable agreements for the company.
- Apply knowledge of building construction to devise realistic timelines and budgets.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure projects meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in construction estimating, with prior senior-level responsibilities preferred.
- Proficient with BlueBeam or equivalent estimation tools.
- Demonstrated experience in base building construction projects.
- Ability to accurately interpret two-dimensional drawings.
- Experience managing RFQs, bid tracking, and cross-functional teamwork with project management.
- Strong negotiation capabilities and proven record of accurate cost estimation.
- Comprehensive understanding of building materials, labor costs, and construction equipment expenses.
- Skill in developing and presenting proposals to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-oriented work setting.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
