Senior Estimator

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join a leading Main Contractor in their Dublin office. The appointed individual will handle a variety of projects spanning multiple sectors, capitalizing on extensive experience within the Irish or UK construction markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full tender process from receipt through submission and subsequent query resolution.
• Coordinate and manage both internal teams and external stakeholders involved in tenders.
• Issue queries to the supply chain, organize preparation of Bills Of Quantities, and procure material quotations as needed.
• Assess returned quotations and work with supply chain members to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Conduct evaluation of potential risks and opportunities related to tenders.
• Prepare and coordinate commercial documents for Tender Handover sessions.
• Perform quarterly reviews of supply chain performance.
• Participate in pre-qualification assessments, mid-tender, and post-tender interviews.
• Undertake site visits to gather relevant feedback.
• Develop cost plans, feasibility studies, and maintain direct engagement with clients.

Professional Requirements

• Possession of a construction-related degree.
• At least 10 years of experience as an estimator within a main building contracting environment or similar.
• Proven experience working in the construction industry in Ireland.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary in the range of €110,000 to €120,000, commensurate with experience.
