Job Responsibilities
- Accurately develop cost estimates for civil, fit-out, and multidisciplinary construction ventures.
- Interpret project details such as drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to assess requirements for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Formulate competitive tenders and pricing plans aligned with corporate goals.
- Work closely with procurement and planning teams to optimize costs and coordinate resources.
- Utilize digital cost estimation tools and maintain an up-to-date cost database.
- Perform risk assessments and identify opportunities to reduce costs during bidding.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, contracts, and UAE regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns, cash flow projections, and value engineering proposals.
- Stay informed on market price trends for materials and labor rates to sustain competitiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications like RICS, MRICS, or FIDIC training are strongly preferred.
- At least 10 years of professional experience within contracting companies, with expertise in estimation and quantity surveying roles.
- Proven success in preparing estimates and managing commercial aspects of medium to large projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, project delivery, and commercial management.
- Experience working in the UAE or GCC contracting market is highly advantageous.
