Job Overview

Wood is seeking a Senior Engineering Systems Engineer to join our expanding team in Qatar, focusing on FEED, Pre-FEED, Brownfield, and Greenfield projects. This role involves ensuring project execution aligns with the plan, safety, and quality standards while maintaining targets in man-hours, cost, and schedule. It is a long-term position based onsite in Doha.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive business growth through the strategic use of technology with a broad understanding of both Wood’s operations and client sectors.
• Provide digital leadership to align IDT and business strategies, fostering Wood as a digitally empowered market leader.
• Serve as a trusted technology expert offering digital knowledge and acting as the interface between IDT services and business units to enable efficient digital solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and IDT Business Partners to maintain a coherent business digital strategy.
• Develop and nurture cross-functional relationships to identify and implement digital initiatives that deliver strategic value.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies across industries and leverage them to benefit Wood’s digital strategy and innovation opportunities.
• Co-create and lead the technology roadmap for Wood’s key solutions and digital product lines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Approximately 10 years of relevant industry experience with a strong professional reputation.
• Business acumen paired with commercial awareness and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with business processes, data management, and IT systems in industrial and corporate settings.
• Strong grasp of technology and business trends, with an ability to utilize data-driven insights for decision-making and value creation.
• Experience engaging in engineering discussions and contributing to technology strategy for client-focused products.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and promote ideas effectively even in challenging contexts.
