Job description
Role Overview
Join Tiaki Wai as a Senior Engineer focused on water network systems, including wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water, serving the Wellington region. This full-time role based in our Petone office offers 40 hours per week working onsite near convenient transport and amenities. You will drive complex network investigations, lead strategic planning efforts, and deliver technical expertise supporting capital programs and infrastructure reliability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve complex technical challenges related to wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water networks across Wellington.
- Lead comprehensive network investigations and tactical planning for 3-waters systems throughout the region.
- Deliver end-to-end technical support from initial concept development through commissioning phases.
- Mentor and guide graduate and intermediate engineers to foster professional growth.
- Contribute expert advice for capital investment and maintenance planning.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Engineering, with a preference for Civil Engineering disciplines. Chartered Professional Engineer status is highly regarded.
- Possess strong technical expertise in wastewater, stormwater, and/or drinking water network systems.
- Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on investigative analysis and practical solutions.
- Maintain superior relationship management capabilities and demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary midpoint for this position is approximately $131,903.99 NZD per annum, inclusive of KiwiSaver contributions, adjusted based on experience and skills.
