Senior Engineer - Java and Microservice Development

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Microservices Developer with substantial experience designing, developing, and sustaining scalable applications. The focus is on utilizing Spring Boot, REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes to deliver high-efficiency software solutions while fostering collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain Java-based microservices leveraging Spring Boot and associated technologies.
• Develop and lead creation of RESTful APIs ensuring strong performance, security, and stability.
• Design and deploy containerized microservices using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Work in partnership with diverse teams to interpret system requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced developers, conduct code reviews, and promote adherence to coding best practices.
• Identify and troubleshoot software issues while optimizing applications for speed and scalability.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and automate release processes to enhance deployment efficiency.
• Continuously engage with emerging technologies, recommending enhancements for improved system architecture.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency with Java versions 8, 11, and 17 alongside Spring Boot framework.
• Hands-on experience developing microservices architectures.
• Expertise in creating RESTful APIs.
• Competence with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience handling SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Version control knowledge using Git.
• Cloud service experience on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within team environments.
