Key Responsibilities

• Oversee meter reading, replacement, consumer visits, and other commercial field tasks.
• Plan and distribute daily assignments, routes, and field duties among the field workforce according to operational demands.
• Track daily team productivity and measure performance against established targets.
• Authenticate consumer details, meters, and service data before initiating meter replacement.
• Supervise safe removal of old meters and installation of new meters following approved procedures.
• Confirm accuracy of meter numbers, initial/final readings, seals, photographic evidence, and other essential job details.
• Ensure quality control over meter replacement tasks and compliance with technical and commercial standards.
• Manage and coordinate cases involving defective, damaged, tampered, burnt, inaccessible, or unusual meter conditions.
• Address technical and commercial problems encountered during fieldwork.
• Collaborate with AEML field teams for operational coordination, approvals, clarifications, and resolving issues.
• Verify statuses of completed, pending, failed, rejected, and unsuccessful jobs and enforce timely closure of outstanding tasks.
• Monitor consumer complaints related to field operations, ensuring timely escalation or resolution.
• Supervise field teams during consumer interactions, ensuring adherence to defined processes and professionalism.
• Monitor field data collected via mobile apps and digital systems, checking completeness and accuracy of photographs, GPS data, and meter information.
• Manage materials provided to field teams, ensuring appropriate use, reconciliation, and accountability.
• Enforce adherence to safety protocols including use of PPE and site guidelines.
• Prepare and submit daily reports covering activities, productivity, exceptions, pending jobs, and field team performance.
• Report recurring operational issues and critical cases to the Project Manager for prompt remediation.
• Support Project Manager to meet project goals related to productivity, quality, and service levels.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) is required.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical distribution, meter reading, meter replacement, commercial operations, utility projects, or related field activities.
• Preference for candidates with experience in power utility or electricity distribution projects and supervising field teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Insightful knowledge of electrical field operations and meter replacement processes.
• Understanding of electricity meter technologies, installation procedures, readings, seals, and onsite verification.
• Strong leadership abilities to supervise and coordinate field teams.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and preparing field reports.
• Experience working with mobile applications and digital systems for field data collection.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to achieve operational goals while managing teams in a field environment.
• Focus on safety standards, quality assurance, accurate documentation, and compliance.
• Willingness to perform work in outdoor or field settings and endure operational pressures.
