Planning Engineer

Role Overview

The Planning Engineer will play a key role in ensuring smooth coordination and strategic planning throughout various stages of construction projects, aligning design efforts with overall project schedules to achieve timely and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective planning and coordination of design work across all project phases.
• Serve as the central communication point among design consultants, project team members, and stakeholders.
• Encourage structured planning processes, foster risk identification, and enforce design governance standards.
• Manage design activities during design, pre-construction, and construction periods.
• Monitor design progress versus master schedules, identifying and reporting any potential delays ahead of time.
• Assist with consultant appointments, prepare and evaluate Request for Proposals (RFPs), and onboard consultants.
• Help oversee approvals, drawing releases, and conduct design reviews for quality control.
• Contribute to value engineering initiatives aimed at cost optimization and improved constructability.
• Keep detailed records including design trackers, logs, minutes of meetings (MOMs), and progress reports.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or Civil Engineering (B.E. Civil)
• Postgraduate degree in Construction or Project Management is advantageous.

Experience

Applicants should have between 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in planning, design coordination, or Project Management Consultancy (PMC) roles within the construction sector.
