Senior Engineer - Drainage

We seek a skilled Senior Engineer specializing in drainage systems to be part of our Doha, Qatar team. This role involves designing and managing advanced drainage projects that comply with local standards and contribute positively to societal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and full development of primary drainage systems adhering to Qatar's building codes and Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) standards.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize engineering data in line with established best practices to support project objectives.
• Perform detailed hydraulic analyses, including modeling and testing, to confirm drainage system effectiveness.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in engineering outcomes using both established methods and innovative approaches.
• Effectively manage project schedules and financial plans with limited oversight.
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior engineers, promoting a collaborative work culture.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and surveys to assess drainage needs and formulate comprehensive plans.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and design drawings with CAD and related tools.
• Work alongside architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
• Continuously update knowledge on modern drainage technologies and best practices to enhance project quality.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a valid professional engineering license from Qatar's MME.
• Have prior professional exposure within Qatar’s engineering environment.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English languages.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of hands-on experience in drainage or infrastructure engineering projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in drainage system design, hydraulic modeling, and comprehensive analysis.
• Proficient usage of CAD and engineering design software.
• In-depth understanding of Qatar building codes, regulations, and environmental requisites.
• Proven project management skills including budget handling and timetable adherence.
• Exemplary analytical, problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in mentoring and managing junior engineering staff.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication abilities.
• Capability to operate independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of site assessment techniques and survey processes.
• Strong commitment to ethical engineering standards, transparency, and quality assurance.
