Job description
Overview
This role involves overseeing daily production functions with the goal of meeting set production objectives while improving efficiency and quality.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily manufacturing activities to align with production goals.
- Track production workflows, equipment functionality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Identify and resolve issues related to production processes.
- Minimize waste, downtime, and production cycle durations.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S techniques, and Poka-Yoke for error prevention.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Planning, and Inventory teams.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
- Provide leadership and direction to shop floor operators and technicians.
- Generate production documentation and analyze critical production performance indicators.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Has relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing or production sectors, ideally in electrical components, plastics processing, or related fields.
- Well-versed in production methodologies, quality management tools, problem-solving approaches, and lean manufacturing principles.
