Role Summary

The Senior Employee Relations (ER) Partner serves as a strategic collaborator to Global HR Business Partners and the Global Employment Law teams. This role involves advising managers and HRBPs on employee relations and performance management, conducting investigations, managing disciplinary processes, supporting redundancy projects, and identifying enterprise-wide ER improvements. It also promotes consistent and compassionate employee experiences globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide managers in handling performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and best practices.
  • Lead investigations in partnership with Global Employment Law experts.
  • Oversee ER case management for global consistency and data accuracy.
  • Implement standardized global ER processes, including training and tools.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Employment Law teams to enhance performance management and employee experience initiatives.
  • Provide objective insights on employee relations to drive global consistency.
  • Offer expertise on employment law matters in coordination with legal teams.
  • Serve as a bridge between HRBPs and Centers of Excellence to align HR programs with client needs.
  • Advise HRBPs and managers on HR policies, processes, and programs when needed.
  • Facilitate communication and best practice sharing among HRBP teams for continuous improvement.
  • Lead or contribute to projects including organizational reviews, performance management, compensation planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and workforce reductions.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and reporting with cross-functional HR teams.
  • Identify and lead learning and development initiatives.
  • Provide Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, and equity insights into daily programs.
  • Drive enhancements in global talent processes to support scalability and sustainability.
  • Promote a positive work environment benefiting all employees.

Qualifications

  • Experience employing or analyzing AI integration in work processes, decision-making, or problem solving using AI tools or insights.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and requirements across the EMEA region.
  • Minimum five years managing diverse employee relations issues, including investigations and performance improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced certification or employment law expertise is a plus.
  • Strong investigative inclination and passion for resolving core issues.
  • Aspiration to develop as an expert in employment relations.
  • Capacity to remain unbiased amid challenging allegations.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with HR processes such as performance management, workforce planning, talent management, and employment law.
  • Ability to perform under pressure within a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and dynamic environments.
  • Cultural and geographic sensitivity in global contexts.
  • Experience engaging with Works Councils, unions, or labor relations.
  • Strong analytical skills to decipher data trends and inform actions.
  • Team-oriented, empathetic, humorous, and passionate about people.
