Role Overview
The Senior Electronics Engineer will be a key technical contributor on the New Ventures team, focusing on the next generation of products that support eShepherd's worldwide growth. This hands-on senior engineering role involves end-to-end involvement from concept design and circuit development to prototyping, rigorous testing, validation, and implementation for production.
You will collaborate within multidisciplinary groups to develop durable and cost-effective electronic solutions, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure products demonstrate superior quality, reliability, and performance in demanding operational contexts. Additionally, you will participate in technical reviews, uphold engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electronic circuit designs for innovative and existing products.
- Create prototypes and assist in guiding products from concept through to production.
- Perform comprehensive testing, validation, and root cause analysis to guarantee product performance.
- Ensure designs meet EMC, electrical safety, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to technical reviews and support sound engineering decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Software, Manufacturing, Procurement, and New Product Introduction teams.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes and practices.
- Mentor and support growth of fellow engineers within the team.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Over five years of experience in product development or research and development environments.
- Demonstrated success in creating commercial electronic products.
- Proficient in both analogue and digital electronics design.
- Experienced in PCB CAD and electronic design software.
- Knowledgeable in EMC compliance and electrical safety regulations.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electronic issues effectively.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.
