Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, configuration, and maintenance of electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and related hardware/software.
- Interpret technical schematics and drawings to plan cable layouts and system setups.
- Evaluate system performance through thorough testing and resolve any faults or issues.
- Ensure all installations adhere to relevant standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and other team members.
- Document all work completed and assist in system commissioning and handovers.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians to enhance team capabilities.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of installation procedures and practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient technical knowledge in installing electronic security systems such as HKC Intruder Alarms, Hikvision CCTV, access control systems, and automatic barriers.
- Capability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for installation planning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with networked security solutions including basic IP networking and integrating hardware with software components.
- Adherence to health and safety protocols; ability to safely work at heights or within confined spaces; skilled in use of hand and power tools.
- Strong communication skills to professionally engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, including government and council representatives.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple installations and service calls efficiently.
- Previous senior or lead installer experience in electronic security or related electrical/technical fields.
- Relevant technical certification or completed apprenticeship in electronics, electrical engineering, or related disciplines.
- Possession of a full, valid driver’s license and readiness to travel to client locations across Ireland.
- Ability to pass any mandatory background or security clearance assessments.
