Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Electrical/Avionics Technician with extensive aviation experience, preferably with a background involving helicopters, to join our dedicated team. This role involves hands-on work supporting the build, integration, and flight-testing of our autonomous aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, integrate, maintain, and test electrical and avionics systems on aircraft.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to prepare aircraft for trial flights.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, avionics, and aircraft systems both in workshop settings and in the field.
- Support flight-line operations and perform field repairs as needed.
- Work on wiring, harnesses, connectors, sensors, communication systems, and flight-control systems.
- Interpret and use electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Assist with aircraft system modifications, fabrication, and integration tasks.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, pilots, and flight-test teams.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and quality standards throughout all activities.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft electrical, avionics, maintenance, or manufacturing roles.
- Proven strong aviation background specifically as an Electrical or Avionics Technician.
- Experience with helicopters is highly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled in aircraft wiring, electrical systems, and avionics integration techniques.
- Flight testing or flight-line operation experience is beneficial.
- Hands-on skills with fabrication and system modifications.
- Ability to operate effectively in remote locations and adapt to dynamic test schedules.
- Practical, collaborative approach with meticulous attention to detail.
