Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer (Operations)

Role Overview

This position requires a seasoned Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to design, build, and sustain Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions within the Operations/Support department. The role involves development, integration, and support activities to ensure smooth application performance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Customize and develop Dynamics 365 F&O solutions through X++ programming language.
• Create and maintain integrations utilizing Azure Logic Apps, REST APIs, and other Azure service components.
• Design reports, data entities, workflows, and create custom system extensions as needed.
• Interpret and analyze business requirements to devise technical implementations.
• Identify and resolve application, integration, and operational issues impacting production environments.
• Manage deployments, oversee environment settings, and coordinate release management tasks.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for source control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment workflows.
• Work collaboratively with functional consultants, stakeholders, and clients to meet project goals.
• Deliver technical mentorship and support to development and project teams.

Required Expertise

• Over six years of hands-on experience in developing Dynamics 365 F&O or AX.
• Proficient in X++ programming and possess deep knowledge of the Dynamics 365 F&O system architecture.
• Practical experience with technical components including Extensions, Chain of Command (CoC), Data Entities, SSRS reports, and workflow configurations.
• Familiarity with integration tools and protocols such as Azure Logic Apps, REST APIs, OData services, Data Management Framework (DMF), and system integrations.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, particularly in managing build pipelines and release processes.
• Strong analytical skills demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates holding Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
• Experience with Power Platform components, Electronic Reporting, and Azure cloud services.
• Background in production support and managed services within similar environments.
