Job description
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to join our Operations and Support team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work out of our main offices located in New Zealand or Australia, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and customize Dynamics 365 F&O solutions using the X++ programming language.
- Develop and maintain integrations through Azure Logic Apps, APIs, and various Azure services.
- Create reports, data entities, workflows, and tailor-made extensions to enhance system functionalities.
- Interpret business requirements to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Diagnose and remedy issues related to applications, integrations, and live production environments.
- Manage deployment procedures, oversee environment configurations, and support release cycles.
- Utilize Azure DevOps tools for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Engage collaboratively with functional consultants, stakeholders, and clients to synchronize efforts.
- Offer technical mentorship and assistance to project teams involved.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 6 years of hands-on experience working with Dynamics 365 F&O or AX development environments.
- Expertise in X++ programming and deep knowledge of the Dynamics 365 F&O architecture.
- Proficient with Extensions, Chain of Command, Data Entities, SSRS Reporting, and Workflow configurations.
- Experienced in integrating systems using Azure Logic Apps, RESTful APIs, OData protocols, DMF, and other integration tools.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for build pipelines and release lifecycle management.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical problems.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
Preferred Competencies
- Possession of Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications enhances candidacy.
- Experience with Power Platform, Electronic Reporting (ER), and additional Azure services is advantageous.
- Background in production support and managed services operations is a plus.
