Senior Digital Banking Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Banking Manager to lead digital banking initiatives in Qatar. The candidate will have significant expertise in digital banking platforms, technical architecture, integration with core banking systems, and regulatory compliance. A successful applicant will have a strong track record in launching or setting up digital or neo banking platforms and managing complex technical projects within banking ecosystems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive design, configuration, and rollout of digital banking solutions, including mobile apps and online portals.
• Oversee integration of core banking systems and external FinTech APIs such as account opening, payment gateways, and KYC/AML.
• Manage full lifecycle digital banking technical projects from start to deployment.
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, setting milestones, assessing risks and dependencies, and planning deliveries.
• Supervise vendors, technology partners, and consultants ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Collaborate with financial regulators to ensure compliance of digital platforms with regulatory frameworks.
• Guarantee conformity with data residency requirements, cybersecurity standards, consumer protection laws, anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC) processes, and risk management measures.
• Coordinate security evaluations, penetration tests, audits, and follow-up corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of seven years in digital banking, platform development, or technical project management roles.
• Direct experience in launching or establishing digital banking, neo banking, or mobile banking platforms from the ground up.
• Profound knowledge of core banking APIs, cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and secure digital onboarding processes.
• Practical experience with technologies such as OAuth, biometric authentication, payment ecosystems, and digital banking solutions.
• Proven track record of working with regional financial regulators and implementing their standards.
• Capability to integrate risk and compliance controls within the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
• Proficiency in Arabic is mandatory; proficiency in English is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
