Job description
Overview
We seek a skilled Network Security Engineer with 4 to 6 years of practical experience in firewall and network security management within the telecommunications sector. The role is a yearly renewable contract based in Doha, Qatar, focusing on maintaining and enhancing network security infrastructure including SD-WAN and cloud security services.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, handling rule configuration, policies, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Administer Fortinet security tools such as FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail, and FortiWeb.
- Support and optimize Fortinet and Huawei SD-WAN solutions, involving routing, traffic management, secure connectivity, and hybrid cloud integration.
- Protect enterprise and customer network infrastructure and address security incidents.
- Maintain core services like DNS, proxy, authentication, and mail relay to ensure high security and reliability.
- Implement support for F5/load balancing infrastructure and application delivery.
- Manage Azure network security components including Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Virtual Networks, Application Gateway with WAF, Load Balancer, DNS, and hybrid connectivity setups.
- Conduct health checks, monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, handle incident response, and manage capacity planning.
- Collaborate closely with Network Operations Center, Security Operations Center, Network, Cloud, and IT teams to resolve issues and maintain uptime.
Qualifications and Skills
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in network security operations.
- Mandatory telecom domain experience.
- Proficient in FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail, FortiWeb, and Fortinet/Huawei SD-WAN.
- Experienced with firewall, network switches, and load balancers.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and incident management.
- Certified in Fortinet NSE Levels 4 to 7 or equivalent.
- Azure certifications required: AZ-104, AZ-500, or AZ-700.
- Python scripting skills are a plus.
