Job description
About the Company
We are a leading software provider in the healthcare sector, operating across 19 countries with over 9,000 dedicated employees. You will be joining a dynamic and innovative environment full of opportunity. Your engagement and passion allow you to make a lasting impact.
CGM integrates artificial intelligence in e-health solutions and seeks individuals who want to shape this transformation, recognizing how technology can make healthcare smarter, more accessible, and better.
Together, we are shaping the future of healthcare. Be part of our mission to make a difference — for a world where knowledge saves lives!
Your Contribution
- Develop and maintain the ifap Praxiscenter, our Delphi-based product for pharmacies and prescribers, working with a hybrid stack of modern and legacy Delphi, alongside integration with ABDA-/IFA drug databases and KBV-BMP standards.
- Design and implement enhancements that measurably improve performance, stability, and integration with modern services such as .NET, Express.js, and MSVC components.
- Collaborate closely with the ifap and AI full-stack teams to seamlessly connect Delphi components with modern web and data services, establishing sustainable integration paths.
- Leverage Claude Code and AI agents strategically to accelerate refactoring, analysis, and documentation of the existing Delphi codebase, and systematically share insights with the team.
- Actively contribute to shaping the modernization roadmap of the Praxiscenter, balancing reliable delivery with incremental platform evolution.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Delphi development, preferably with business-critical, long-standing application systems demanding high availability and data quality.
- A completed university degree (preferably a Master's) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with excellent results.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and integration patterns, including experience in legacy modernization; proficient with build, deployment, and version control tools; demonstrated effective use of AI in software engineering, ideally including Claude Code (Agents, Skills, Workflows), AI pipelines, and context engineering.
- Fluent proficiency in both German and English, enabling confident communication with German-speaking business units and international teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, pragmatic and independent working style, high proactivity, enthusiasm for innovation, and an entrepreneurial mindset aligned with our healthcare mission and patient safety responsibilities.
What We Offer
- Flexible work arrangement: work remotely two days per week and onsite three days per week.
- Attractive office locations with fully equipped workspaces and regular events such as summer parties and Christmas celebrations.
- Professional growth supported by our in-house academy and extensive portfolio of external partners.
- Health and wellbeing prioritized through daily nutritious meals at our onsite canteen and access to a fully equipped gym with weekly classes.
- Additional benefits include an onsite kindergarten at our CGM campus in Koblenz to help balance work and childcare, corporate benefits, job bike options, and occupational pension schemes.
