Job Overview
Join TechCarrot as a Data Engineer tasked with evaluating intricate new data sources and rapidly transforming them into actionable business intelligence. You will aid in integrating and deploying these data sources on our Azure Data platform.
Primary Responsibilities
- Regularly gather progress updates from the Squad team.
- Compile and distribute weekly project status reports to Squad Leads for review.
- Engage in early-stage design and define new features.
- Build resilient data pipelines using Microsoft's Databricks technology stack.
- Develop reusable and scalable data pipeline solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple engineering teams to integrate proven prototypes into core intelligence systems.
- Communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Create and maintain detailed Level 3 project plans outlining tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Strong analytical capabilities for handling structured and unstructured data.
- Hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks using Spark for ETL pipeline development.
- Competence in data analysis, manipulation, and statistical modeling with tools such as Spark, Python, Scala, and SQL.
- Experienced in crafting JIRA dashboards based on task tracking.
- Project management experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD deployment of data pipelines.
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related domain.
- Proven in-production experience with Azure cloud services.
