Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Pune, India (with additional locations in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad). This is a full-time position working a UK shift from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The hiring process includes an assessment followed by two interview rounds.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ingestion, transformation, and optimization processes for enterprise data within Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse environments.
- Handle large-scale data ingestion and backfill operations efficiently.
- Create and manage Bronze to Silver data transformation pipelines.
- Develop logic for incremental loading and Change Data Capture (CDC).
- Enhance Lakehouse performance and optimize data storage methods.
- Establish monitoring frameworks for record counts, load durations, and failure tracking.
- Facilitate promotion processes across development, testing, and production environments.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering roles.
- Proven hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse/Data Factory.
- Experience using ETL/ELT tools similar to those mentioned.
- Ability to manage and process extremely large datasets comprising hundreds of millions of records.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python programming, and data modeling principles.
- Comprehensive understanding of Medallion data architecture.
- Educational qualification: Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in any specialization.

- Work location options include Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
- Office hours coincide with UK time zone (2 PM to 11 PM).
