Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to significantly impact our business by designing and maintaining robust data architectures, developing scalable data models, and championing best analytics engineering practices, including data quality, thorough documentation, and scalable structures. This role involves close collaboration with various business stakeholders to create high-value data solutions and mentoring junior team members to build team expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage complex and scalable data models in Snowflake utilizing dbt.
• Provide datasets effectively through BI platforms to facilitate strong self-service analytics capabilities.
• Carry out straightforward data ingestion tasks using no-code tools and maintain smooth data operations.
• Enhance datasets with detailed metadata, including documentation, quality assurance checks, and masking of sensitive information.
• Enable data activation by transferring data from Snowflake to other operational systems.
• Identify proactively data quality concerns and communicate these to the relevant process owners for resolution.
• Lead educational sessions and initiatives to promote the effective use of BI tools across the company.
• Provide informal mentoring to junior analytics engineers, supporting their development and knowledge-sharing.

Candidate Profile

• Proven extensive experience in analytics engineering or related data roles with in-depth skills in advanced SQL, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Experienced in using BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or Snowsight to deliver clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Competent in data ingestion and activation processes using no-code tools like Fivetran or Stitch to ensure efficient data integration into operational platforms.
• Well-versed in managing metadata, documentation, data quality initiatives, and sensitive data protection effectively.
• Strong collaborator able to understand diverse stakeholder data needs and create impactful data solutions.
• Capable trainer and informal mentor who fosters a cooperative and knowledge-sharing culture within the analytics team.
