About the Role
GHD invites experienced senior professionals specializing in data centres and mission critical infrastructure to join our expanding team in Auckland. This role encompasses working on cutting-edge digital infrastructure projects spanning the entire lifecycle, from energy generation and transmission to architecture, engineering, commissioning, and operational phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support complex and technically challenging digital infrastructure projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborate with an international, multidisciplinary team delivering projects across APAC, the Middle East, North America, and Europe.
- Work across various technical domains including energy systems, power and utilities, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering, as well as sustainability, ICT, security, commissioning, and operational readiness.
- Provide solutions for data centre and mission critical systems involving HV, MV, LV electrical systems, grid connections, standby generation, cooling and thermal modeling, and energy-efficient mechanical design.
- Assist clients in addressing broader challenges impacting digital infrastructure such as energy efficiency, water management, sustainability, economic viability, and resilience.
Candidate Profile
- Possess senior-level technical expertise in data centres, mission critical infrastructure, energy systems, engineering design, architecture, commissioning, or project leadership.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills coupled with commercial insight, leadership capabilities, and an inquisitive mindset.
- Exhibit confidence in client engagement, influence team dynamics, and contribute to business growth in emerging markets and capabilities.
- Adopt a collaborative working style, capable of cooperating across disciplines, geographic locations, and global teams.
- Show interest in innovating future digital infrastructure with durable, sustainable, and commercially viable solutions.
