Role Summary

The Data Platform team is responsible for creating and maintaining robust, compliant data infrastructures supporting clients' marketing, commercial, and operational reporting needs. Collaborating closely with clients, governance teams, business analysts, and various departments including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and IT, the team ensures that key commercial data—spanning CRM, point-of-sale systems, retailer details, and inventory—is reliable, unified, secure, and practical across all client operational regions.

As a Senior Data Architect, you will steer the technical strategy and execution of a governed commercial data platform built on Microsoft Fabric, servicing a multinational enterprise. Your leadership will encompass designing a comprehensive landing zone covering multiple CRM systems, point-of-sale, retailer portals, and inventory sources. This includes performing data ingestion, harmonized modeling, semantic certification, and governance transitions. You will devise the medallion architecture model, define system-of-record demarcations in relation to the client's ERP and EDW systems, and spearhead initiatives to enhance data quality and governance focused on customer, product, and geographic data domains.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of a governed commercial data platform on Microsoft Fabric for a multi-regional client.
• Develop a landing zone integrating multiple CRM instances, point-of-sale systems, retailer portals, and inventory feeds, covering ingestion to certified semantic models and governance handoff.
• Design medallion architecture frameworks and designate system-of-record boundaries vis-à-vis existing ERP/EDW systems.
• Drive data quality assurance, governance, and compliance across key data dimensions such as customer, product, and geography.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with client leadership, data governance teams, and multi-disciplinary internal teams to deliver scalable, accurate data solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive expertise in enterprise data architecture or data engineering, with practical experience in Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms such as Synapse or Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM data models including leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities.
• Proven track record designing or migrating large-scale, multi-source commercial or CRM datasets across multiple regions.
• Deep understanding of master data management, conformed dimensional modeling, metadata and lineage management, and data governance methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL; capable in Power BI semantic modeling, DAX scripting, and Row-Level Security configuration.
• Familiarity with lakehouse architectures, cloud data warehouses, API integrations, and data pipeline technologies.
• Experience establishing data quality rules, reconciliation workflows, and measurable service metrics.
• Ability to convert undefined business demands into structured, scalable phased delivery plans.
• Hands-on experience integrating point-of-sale, retailer/EDI, or inventory datasets alongside CRM information.
• Leadership experience managing cross-functional data modernization or platform build projects, particularly client-facing engagements.
